Our Plumbing House 2012 course is an overview/refresher course for experienced practitioners. This building code course reviews plumbing plans and drawings for a typical house. The curriculum focuses on the Division B Part 7 provisions of the Ontario Building Code (OBC) that relate to inspections; the terminology associated with drainage, venting, and water systems; and plumbing system theory.

Prerequisites

You must have a general understanding of the building construction process and basic blueprint reading skills.

Note(s)

This course can help you prepare to write the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MMAH) Plumbing–House 2012 exam (not included). The MMAH exam is administered by Humber College. For more information, visit the Ontario Building Code Examinations website.

Course Essentials:

You must bring a copy of the 2012 Building Code Compendium and the Plumbing – House 2012 workbook/manual to the first class. The compendium and workbook/manual are both available for purchase through the George Brown College bookstore or at our Building Code and Trade Manuals website. The compendium can also be purchased at the Publications Ontario website.
