Our Digital Photography 1: Fundamentals course gives you the opportunity to gain hands-on camera experience through a series of exercises and assignments. Through the evaluation of your photo assignments, learn how to choose exposure settings, solve focus problems, and critique your own images from a technical standpoint. This mastery of your camera controls helps you create quality images, which is essential for successful image editing and manipulation. This photography course also introduces you to Adobe Bridge, which you can use to evaluate your photos.

Course Essentials:

You should have a digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) or mirrorless camera with full manual control over the shooting modes as well as the capability to shoot a RAW file. At a minimum, you must have a 12-megapizel camera and a 32GB (or greater) storage card. Additionally, you must have a current computer running macOS 13.1 or Windows 10 with 16GB of RAM, at least 10GB of free drive space, and a monitor with a resolution of at least 1024x768 (higher recommended). A second monitor is not required, but it is strongly recommended.
