Welding 1 Practical WELD 9047

Our Welding 1 Practical course uses the CWB Group's Learning Resources framework to provide practical learning opportunities. This first-level practical welding course explores basic shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), basic gas metal arc welding (GMAW), welding health and safety, power sources, and the use of hand and power tools. Learn the basic principles involved in SMAW and GMAW in the flat and horizontal positions.

Prerequisites

You must have been contacted by the college and given permission to register for this course, and you must have completed our WELD 9046 Welding 1 Theory course. (An approved equivalent is also acceptable.) Anyone who registers without prior permission will be removed from the course.

Course Essentials:

You will receive access to the CWB Group's Learning Resources content, quizzes, and resources. The CWB virtual textbook that you received as part of WELD 9046 Welding 1 Theory can also be used for this course. You must have and wear your own CSA-approved safety footwear and protective eyewear while in shop areas.
