
Bachelor of Early Childhood Education – Honours (Bridging Courses)
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
This bridging program is for students with a diploma in Early Childhood Education who want to complete a degree in Early Childhood Education in just two years. Upon successful completion of the bridging courses, applicants can apply to enter Year 3 of the four-year degree. To be considered for this accelerated degree program which starts each September, applicants must successfully complete four bridge courses (below) with a minimum grade required.
Bridging courses can be taken during the day or in the evening. During the Spring semester that runs in May and June, we offer all four courses during the day in an intensive 7-week format. Classes run twice a week for seven weeks with six hours of class per course, per week. During the Fall, Winter & Spring semesters, we offer one bridging course per semester delivered in the evening from 6:30pm-9:30pm for 14 weeks. Delivery day varies per semester.
COURSES
Courses ECE 2058, ECL 1002, and ECL 1308 must be completed by mid-August. The fourth required course, ECL 1205 must be successfully completed prior to entering Year 4 of the program.
