Our Beauty and Editorial Makeup Artist Program teaches you everything you must know to become a professional makeup artist within the beauty and fashion industries. With the guidance of industry professionals, develop the skills you need to apply daytime, evening, glamour, and bridal makeup as well as runway and editorial makeup. Practice the techniques used to achieve the look of flawless skin, and enhance your studies by learning to create hairstyles for a variety of occasions. Finally, learn how to create a professional resumé and prepare for a formal interview. This makeup program gives you the knowledge and techniques you need to be able to work at the highest level of professionalism.

Prerequisites

You must have completed Grade 12 English. (An approved equivalent is also acceptable.)

Completion Details

Once you have completed all the requirements of this program, you can request to receive a certificate using the department contact information on this web page.

Core Courses (Five)

Completion order is only limited by course prerequisites.

Program Costs:

The total tuition for the five courses is $3,524.36. The total cost of supplies (including the professional makeup kit and the professional hairstyling kit) is $3,757.25. Total program cost: $7,281.61

Program Essentials:

This program requires you to work on other students and to let other students work on you in order to gain the skills you need to work on models. You will also be required to bring your own model on occasion and for practical exams. The courses in this program have a mandatory dress code and require you to purchase our professional makeup kit and our professional hairstyling kit from the Makeup and Esthetics Student Store.
