Our Cost Planning course helps you build on your construction estimating knowledge. Learn cost planning and control in relation to the cycle of a construction project. Examine the various types of conceptual estimating, including a standardized approach to elemental cost estimating and analysis.

This course has been recognized by the Canadian Construction Association (CCA) as Gold Seal accredited training with CCA credit value and by the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS) as a CIQS credit course.

Recommendations

You will have the most success in this course if you have already completed our BLDG 9194 Introduction to Quantity Surveying course before you start this course.

Additional Information

Course Essentials:

You must have a copy of both Construction Budgeting and Elemental Cost Analysis before you begin this course. Both textbooks are available for purchase through the George Brown College bookstore and at the CIQS website.

Exam Policies:

Final exams for all Estimating and Quantity Surveying online courses and some construction online courses are held on the same date in each term. If you are planning to register for more than one course in the same term, email cetech_construct@georgebrown.ca before you register.
