Our Introduction to Nail Enhancements course helps you further your potential as a nail technician by teaching you skills in the field of nail enhancements that build on your existing knowledge. This nails course prepares you to provide clients with beautiful, natural-looking nail enhancements using two of the most popular forms: gel and acrylic. In addition to studying safety and sanitation, learn effective application, removal, and maintenance techniques involving both nail extension tips and forms.

Prerequisites

You must have completed our FASH 9250 Manicure course or you must provide proof of both a practical background and a theoretical background in nail care (for example, through a record of education and/or employment).

Passing this course earns you a certificate of course completion from George Brown College.

Course Essentials:

This course requires you to both perform and receive nail enhancement treatments. You will also be required to bring your own model on occasion. The dress code for this course is no enhancements on your nails as well as your George Brown College esthetics uniform (if you have completed previous esthetics courses with us) or medical scrubs (if you have not).
