Our Introduction to Quantity Surveying course teaches you to quantify construction work in a structured way using a standard method of measurement and industry terminology. This quantity surveying course focuses on types of estimates, the estimating process, the methods of measurement, and the required skills and critical role of the quantity surveyor in the design and construction process.

This course has been recognized by the Canadian Construction Association (CCA) as Gold Seal accredited training with CCA credit value and by the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS) as a CIQS credit course.

Prerequisites

You must have general building construction knowledge and basic blueprint reading skills.

Exam Policies:

Final exams for all Estimating and Quantity Surveying online courses and some construction online courses are held on the same date in each term. If you are planning to register for more than one course in the same term, email cetech_construct@georgebrown.ca before you register.
