OntarioLearn description: This course has been designed for medical office professionals to concentrate on the pronunciation and verbalization of medical terminology that was learned in the Medical Terminology course. Students will listen to audio files to learn the pronunciation of medical terms involving all body systems. Assessment of the student's ability to pronounce medical terms will be done through audio files recorded by the student and submitted for evaluation.

Prerequisites

You must have excellent spoken English language skills and you must have completed SCI 9006 Medical Terminology.

Course Essentials:

You must have a computer microphone, a CD or DVD drive, a sound card, speakers, media player software (such as Windows Media Player) and an audio recording program. (You may use recording software such as Voice Record Pro on your cell phone or tablet to do your audio recordings.)
