OntarioLearn description: Sociology is the study of people and how they interact with each other and various social groups. This course deals with the study of people's lives, their relationship to society as a whole, and how people are affected by the society in which they live. The concepts, theories and methods of the discipline will be introduced and discussed with particular emphasis on the dynamics of Canadian society and Canadian social problems.

Recommendations

You will have the most success in this course if you already have Grade 12 English before you start this course.

General Education Credit:

This course will be accepted as credit towards the General Education elective requirements of the part-time Electronics Engineering Technician Diploma (T112). This course may be accepted as credit towards the General Education elective requirements of some full-time diploma and certificate programs. (Excluded programs include A102, A103, A113, C100, C101, C104, C118, C119, C130, C133, P107, R101, and S121.)
